  • Security & access control: Define role‑based permissions, workflow/object security, and inheritance; implement RBAC (enterprise and project roles) across multiple projects/clients; run periodic permission audits.
  • Managed Workspaces: Implement and maintain ProjectWise Managed Workspaces (Configuration Settings Blocks, imports, dynamic frameworks), align MicroStation/verticals configurations per contract, and troubleshoot workspace resolution issues.
  • Performance & file transfer optimisation: Configure/maintain Caching Servers and storage areas; tune Delta File Transfer, compression, streaming, and client caching for distributed teams.
  • Standards & BIM/CDE governance: Align ProjectWise usage with ISO 19650 CDE practices (states/metadata/revisions) and client/exchange information requirements across contracts.
  • Automations & services: Configure Orchestration Framework/Automation Services for renditions (PDF/iModel), title block/attribute exchange, and scheduled jobs.
  • Upgrades & compatibility: Plan/test upgrades (server, Explorer, integration modules) and validate app integrations (MicroStation/AutoCAD/Revit/verticals) and version support.
  • Monitoring & troubleshooting: Use logs and admin tools to diagnose permissions, locks, indexing, rendition, and network issues; operate within best‑practice guardrails.
  • User enablement & support: Provide guidance, technical documentation, and training.

Knowledge & Skills

  • ProjectWise core administration: Datasources, users/groups, environments/attributes, workflows/states, storage areas, caching, DFT, and security models.
  • Permissions/RBAC: Folder/document/workflow permissions, inheritance, and CONNECT role‑based access across enterprise and project scopes.
  • Managed Workspaces: CSBs, workspace import/export, dynamic managed workspace concepts, and workspace/application associations.
  • CDE & ISO 19650: Information container states (WIP/Shared/Published), metadata/revisions/status codes, and alignment of PW to ISO 19650 data model.
  • PW services & integrations: Orchestration Framework/ICS for PDF & iModel, attribute exchange/title blocks, and app integrations (e.g., MicroStation).
  • Workspace implementation: Build/maintain CSBs, import workspace content, and resolve managed workspace resolution/pathing issues.
  • Security design: Simplify permission models, standardise role templates, and prevent inheritance conflicts across multiple client projects.

Qualification & Experience

  • ProjectWise administration: Hands‑on administering PW datasources, permissions, and work areas across multiple projects/clients.
  • Managed Workspaces: Practical delivery of at least one managed workspace rollout (preferably dynamic framework) supporting MicroStation/verticals.
  • CDE/BIM processes: Demonstrated application of ISO 19650 workflows (states, revisions, metadata) within a CDE; experience mapping client EIRs to PW.
  • Upgrades & integrations: Planned/tested PW server/Explorer upgrades and maintained integrations (e.g., ICE, rendition, attribute exchange).
  • Familiarity with Bentley Infrastructure Cloud, ProjectWise Web & Drive administration.
