My Client, a market leading Engineering and Environmental Consultancy with offices based in the heart of Bath, is searching for a Drainage Design Engineer to join their team in Bath. You will be required to work from the office on a hybrid basis.
This exciting role will offer candidates the opportunity to join an innovative team who specialise in civil and structural engineering for both public and private sector clients. With a wide portfolio of projects you will have the chance to design flood risk and drainage solutions for stately homes, historic developments and palaces.
Responsibilities
- Flood Risk Assessments for flood zone 1, 2 and 3.
- Flood Risk Mapping using ArcGIS.
- Flood Consequence Assessments.
- Drainage, attenuation and SuDS design using infodrainage and causeway flow.
- Design of sustainable drainage solutions for historical sites, stately homes and palaces.
- Site visits to ensure designs are effective and appropriate for the development and in keeping with building requirements, for listed buildings.
- Client meetings to discuss project progress.
- Support team members with designs.
Qualifications
- A strong BSc and/or MSc in Civil Engineering, Environmental Management, Hydrology or Environmental Engineering.
- Experience working for a UK based Consultancy completing flood risk assessments, drainage strategies and design using infodrainage or causeway or AutoCAD.
- Reside locally, near to the office (required to work from office 3 days a week).
- Security clearance may be required.
