Job Title: HGV Automotive Engineering Assessor / Tutor

Location: Cheshire based

Salary: £38,400 – £42,400 (inclusive of car allowance) – salary depending on qualifications and experience

Type: Full Time, Permanent 37 hours per week

Essential Criteria (for all candidates)

• Must hold solid, occupational competency within the Heavy Automotive Engineering and Maintenance sector.
• Must hold a relevant Level 3 qualification in Engineering / HGV.
• Must have a working knowledge of Automotive Engineering for HGV and trailers.
• Must have experience within Teaching / Assessing / Training (full training and support will be provided to achieve the Teaching and Assessing qualifications).
• Full, clean UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
• Ideally have an understanding of Apprenticeship programmes.
• Must be flexible with travel.

Duties

• Assess/mentor learners working towards Apprenticeships in Bus and Coach Engineering, Heavy Vehicle Service and Maintenance Technician.
• Meet Assessor KPI’s in terms of timely visits, quality paperwork and general administration.
• Managing your diary efficiently to ensure timely visits and reviews are conducted.
• Organise and maintain documentation on learners’ progress.
• Support, advise and motivate learners.
• Overcome barriers to learning and adapt delivery to meet learner’s needs.
