Ladywood School is an Outstanding Special School situated in Bolton. It caters for primary aged pupils with complex learning difficulties. Ladywood is a proud member of Woodbridge Trust, which is a local partnership with Firwood School, Woodbridge SEND Service and Woodbridge College.
Ladywood has been judged as an outstanding school by OFSTED on 4 consecutive occasions, most recently in January 2023.

Teaching Assistant Level 1
Responsibilities
- Provide support to pupils with SEN to help them achieve high standards in learning and development.
- Contribute to a positive learning environment with high expectations of pupils’ achievements, attainment and behaviour.
- Work as part of a team to support class teachers and meet individual pupil needs as directed.
Qualifications and qualities
- Highly motivated candidate with a good or outstanding teaching assistant background.
- High expectations of children’s achievements, attainment and behaviour.
- Enthusiastic, a team player, and committed to the highest quality provision for pupils with SEN.
Contract and terms
- Contract: 32.5 hours per week
- Term Time plus 5 days
- Start Date: ASAP
- Salary: Grade D Scale Point 6 – 11
- Actual Salary: £19,547 – £20,830
