Shop Assistant / Technician Trainee

We are looking for a reliable, mechanically inclined individual who wants to learn a skilled trade and build a long-term career.

Responsibilities

• Assist with electric motor disassembly and reassembly
• Clean, inspect, and test motors and components
• Replace bearings and perform routine repairs
• Identify motor specifications from nameplates
• Assist customers at the counter and by phone
• Receive and organize inventory and parts
• Maintain a clean, safe, and organized shop
• Learn motor diagnostics and troubleshooting techniques

Qualifications

• Experience is preferred; however, we are willing to train the right person.
• Strong mechanical aptitude
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Reliability and punctuality
• A positive attitude and willingness to learn
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs
• Comfort working with tools and equipment
• Valid driver’s license
• Experience in farming, automotive repair, equipment maintenance, construction, welding, or mechanical hobbies is considered an asset.
