Spearheading the JRL Group from the outset J Reddington Ltd have been an industry leading groundwork and concrete framespecialist for over two decades.Building on a proven track record to date, the company is now increasingly being called upon to deliver solutions on largeprojects in London and the South East.We are looking to recruit a design engineer with responsibility for carrying out temporary works schemes and associated designreports with scheme drawings.
Role includes but is not limited to:• Undertake the design of concrete structures, groundwork and formwork systems• Select the appropriate temporary works solution for a scheme• Produce calculation reports in line with design codes• Produce workshop drawings to illustrate the temporary works solution selected• Produce designer risk assessments• Work with permanent works designer to integrate the temporary solution where possible• Liaise with clients and all members of the design team when necessary
Requirements:• Applicants should have a good knowledge of building codes such as EC2 & BS 5975• Possess a civil or structural engineering degree working towards chartership• Good working knowledge of 3D software especially Revit, Tedds, Robot, Wallap, Graytec Advanced design• Ability to perform under pressure and work to tight deadlines• Excellent verbal and communication skills• Must be able to work as part of a team but use own initiative to complete tasks• Knowledge of concrete structures, groundwork support and formwork support systems• Ideally 5 years post graduate experience
