Deaf & Hard-of-Hearing Specialist Teaching Assistant

Gateshead Council is recruiting for a role within the Low Incidence Needs Team to support babies, children and young people aged 0‑25 with Deafness or hearing loss. You will deliver specialist learning, language and communication support in collaboration with teachers, families and settings.

The role involves training staff and promoting inclusive practice. This position requires HLTA status with a commitment to achieving BSL Level 3 within 3 years and a full driving licence to cover Gateshead
