Senior Project Manager (Ports)

Overview

In this Senior Project Manager role you lead delivery on port and maritime infrastructure projects for a growth-oriented consultancy. You will own projects from inception to completion, act as the main client contact, and guide programme, cost, quality and risk management. You’ll work with senior stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams, while mentoring juniors and contributing to business development. The position offers a path to help shape the team ahead of planned growth in 2027, with hybrid working and a strong emphasis on client relationships and delivery excellence.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects and programmes from inception through to completion
• Build trusted client relationships and act as their go-to advisor
• Lead project teams and coordinate consultants and contractors
• Manage project risks, budgets, programmes and reporting
• Prepare and present reports to clients and senior stakeholders
• Support bids, proposals and business development
• Coach and mentor junior team members

Key requirements

• Experience delivering projects in a consultancy or client-side environment
• Experience delivering harbour, marine or wider infrastructure projects
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
• Commercial awareness and ability to manage project finances
