Clinical R Automation & AI Solutions Developer FSP

Overview

As an R Automation and AI Solutions Developer embedded with a pharmaceutical client, you drive the design and implementation of automated analysis and tooling to improve clinical studies. You collaborate with statisticians, programmers, data scientists and AI leads to turn prototypes into reusable, regulated solutions. Your work centers on practical workflow improvements, proof-of-concept tooling, and clear communication with technical and non-technical stakeholders. You thrive in a fast-paced, client-facing environment and help advance clinical development through automation and AI.

Responsibilities

• Interpret user requirements to identify workflow improvements
• Define project scope for requests
• Build proof-of-concept tools
• Leverage LLM-assisted coding and R/Shiny tooling
• Create testing and documentation
• Ensure mature prototypes meet regulated clinical development standards
• Present outcomes to technical and non-technical audiences

Key requirements

• Strong R programmer
• Familiar with clinical trial data and CDISC concepts
• Experience building automation tools, R packages, Shiny dashboards or reusable utilities
• Understanding of regulated delivery: validation, audit trail, traceability, version control, documentation, testing
• Knowledge of Git, code review, unit testing, CI/CD concepts
• Experience using LLMs for coding, summarization, extraction, documentation, review, or workflow automation
