Managing Associate – Commercial Litigation & Insolvency

Overview

In this role you will manage a broad caseload of commercial disputes and insolvency matters while taking on greater responsibility in guiding the team. You will work alongside partners to advise high-value disputes, develop key clients, and mentor junior lawyers. The role supports the growth of an expanding disputes practice and offers a clear path toward leadership. You’ll balance technical work with business development to shape the firm’s client base and reputation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a varied caseload of commercial litigation and insolvency matters
• Advise on complex and high-value disputes
• Develop and maintain strong client relationships
• Supervise and mentor junior lawyers and support staff
• Assist with business development initiatives and networking activities

Key requirements

• Qualified Solicitor in England & Wales
• Ideally 5+ years’ PQE in a recognised disputes practice
• Strong experience in commercial litigation; insolvency exposure desirable
• Excellent technical and drafting skills
