Associate – Development & Planning

Overview

In this role you will support and lead development and regeneration advisory for public and private sector clients across the North, shaping major projects from feasibility to delivery. You’ll work autonomously within a respected advisory team, expanding the North West offering and securing new business while delivering strategic development guidance. The work spans government town regeneration, housing, transport-led growth and investment zones, offering meaningful impact on communities and economies. You join a collaborative, ambitious team where you help drive transformative projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead and support business development across public and private sector clients
• Advise clients on complex development and regeneration projects
• Provide strategic advice on development strategy, appraisals, viability and funding
• Oversee procurement, commercial structuring and land assembly strategies
• Manage delivery of large-scale schemes and maintain stakeholder relationships
• Collaborate with Planning, Development, Agency, Valuation and Capital Markets teams for integrated solutions
• Mentor junior team members and promote process improvement across projects

Key requirements

• Proven experience advising public and private sector clients on development and regeneration projects
• Strong understanding of development appraisals, viability, funding structures and delivery models
• Track record of winning work and developing client relationships
• Strong commercial awareness and opportunity identification for growth
• Excellent stakeholder management, analytics, and presentation skills
• Experience managing multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
• MRICS qualified (or equivalent) preferred
• Advanced Excel skills
