Overview
In this role you will lead civil BIM development for a UK-wide portfolio of energy, water, and transport projects. You will own model development, coordinate multidisciplinary digital delivery, and advance BIM practices within Arup’s Infrastructure team in Liverpool. You’ll work with engineers, managers and digital specialists to produce high-quality, coordinated models and outputs, while upholding ISO 19650 and BIM standards. This is a chance to shape digital delivery at scale and contribute to sustainable, resilient infrastructure.

Responsibilities
- Lead detailed civil engineering model and drawing development using Autodesk Civil 3D and Navisworks within ACC
- Support clash detection and multidisciplinary model coordination
- Maintain model data structures, attributes and digital standards across project lifecycle
- Assist in setting up and managing Common Data Environments and project templates
- Embed Arup’s digital processes and promote efficient modelling practices
- Ensure outputs align with BIM Execution Plans and ISO 19650 requirements
- Conduct model audits and verify data accuracy
- Collaborate across teams to ensure coordinated, high-quality BIM outputs
Key requirements
- Autodesk Civil 3D proficiency (surfaces, corridors, pipe networks, grading, Subassembly Composer)
- Autodesk Navisworks for clash detection and coordination
- Familiarity with ReCap, InfraWorks and InfoDrainage (advantageous)
- Strong understanding of ISO 19650, BIM standards, and ACC/ Bentley ProjectWise
- Ability to conduct model audits and ensure data accuracy
- minimum HNC in Civil Engineering, Digital Construction Modelling or related discipline (HND/degree also accepted)
