Lead Mobile Developer

Overview

In this role you lead secure, mission-critical mobile development for government and defence programs, shaping architecture and delivery across iOS and Android. You collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, secure digital services and guide teams through the full software lifecycle. You will influence technical decisions and mentor engineers while working in a governed, regulated environment. This hands-on leadership position offers impact at scale within public sector programmes.

Responsibilities

• Lead development of secure mobile apps for iOS and Android
• Define and implement architecture and design aligned with government standards
• Contribute to full stack development and integration with enterprise back-end services
• Drive delivery within Agile and Scrum environments
• Perform code reviews and uphold quality, security, and engineering standards
• Provide technical leadership, coaching, and mentoring
• Engage with stakeholders across government and defence programmes
• Support continuous improvement and modern engineering practices

• Proven experience leading mobile development teams delivering enterprise-scale solutions
• Strong experience developing Android and iOS applications
• Expertise in software architecture and design for modern mobile apps
• Experience with full stack development and cloud-connected applications
