Civil Litigation Solicitor (Partner)

Overview

In this role, you will build on an established practice in Essex and shape the department’s future. You will manage a varied civil and commercial disputes caseload while earning alongside a growing team. You’ll support the Head of Department, nurture junior colleagues, and lead efforts to grow the practice through strategic relationships. Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of civil and commercial disputes, including high-value matters
• Handle own fee-earning work while contributing to team development
• Support junior colleagues and collaborate with Head of Department on growth plans
• Advise clients to achieve practical, commercially sound outcomes
• Develop client relationships and participate in business development initiatives

Key requirements

• 8+ years PQE in civil litigation
• Confident, experienced litigator with commercial judgement
• Extensive civil litigation and dispute resolution experience
• Ability to manage complex cases balancing client objectives and commercial factors
• Strong relationship-building and proactive networking
• Experience supporting or supervising colleagues and leadership qualities
