Structural Engineer

Overview

In this role, you will contribute to Arup’s Belfast team by delivering innovative structural designs for diverse projects. You’ll work under a Senior Engineer or Associate within a collaborative, multi-disciplinary setting, applying technical expertise to meet standards and client needs. You will manage your workload to deliver quality work on programme and budget, while developing towards professional Chartership. Responsibilities

• Collaborate in multi-professional design teams to deliver structural projects with technical rigor and creativity
• Assist senior staff to perform analyses and calculations for complex structures
• Ensure designs meet standard engineering practices and structural design standards
• Manage own time to deliver work to the required technical standard, programme, and budget
• Support client interactions where applicable
• Contribute to project delivery from initial concept through to implementation

Key requirements

• Experience working on a variety of structural projects
• Strong knowledge of standard engineering practices, techniques, procedures and Structural design standards
• Experience in structural design on complex projects with analyses and calculations
• Ability to manage own time and deliver to programme and budget
• Degree qualified in a relevant discipline
• Working towards Chartership with ICE and/or IStructE
