Town Planning consultant

Overview

In this role you drive major infrastructure consent across energy, renewables, transport and utilities from planning through to delivery. You join a growing, award-winning team and work on nationally significant projects, coordinating multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder negotiations. Depending on level, you may lead or support consenting strategies and expert witness testimony, shaping outcomes under DCO, DNS, TWAO and related regimes. This is a clear progression opportunity in a respected consultancy with secured project work and national scope.

Responsibilities

• Support or lead consenting strategies for major infrastructure projects (DCOs, DNSs, TWAOs, etc.)
• Coordinate and prepare planning applications
• Manage client relationships and multidisciplinary teams
• Lead stakeholder negotiations
• Act as Expert Witness (senior levels)
• Provide project direction and contribute to business development (Associate Director/Technical Director)

Key requirements

• Degree in Town Planning or related discipline
• MRTPI (or working towards for junior levels)
• Experience delivering infrastructure or major project consents
• Consultancy experience preferred
• Strong project management and commercial awareness (senior levels)
