You will join the high-performing Bidding and Estimating team to shape cost-effective infrastructure solutions. From the Newport office you’ll work at project fronts with design, commercial and operations to develop competitive bids. The role spans a diverse civil portfolio across the UK, from feasibility through to high-value schemes, offering the chance to influence outcomes and deliver on site. Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate first-principle cost estimates for civil engineering and infrastructure projects
• Collaborate with design, commercial and operations to develop robust tenders
• Review drawings, specifications and scopes to identify risk, opportunity and value engineering
• Engage with the supply chain to obtain quotations and deliver buildable pricing
• Support bid submissions, reviews and tender clarification meetings
• Apply consistent estimating standards, systems and governance across bids

Key requirements

• Experience in estimating or strong civil engineering background in construction or infrastructure
• Commercial awareness and high attention to detail
• Working understanding of NEC forms of contract and procurement processes
• Ability to analyse complex information and communicate clearly
• Collaborative mindset and willingness to learn and contribute to a high-performing team
