UK Remote Job – Group Financial Reporting Manager at Activate Group Limited

Overview

The organisation is seeking an experienced and qualified accountant to oversee group financial reporting, management accounts, statutory reporting, audit coordination and financial compliance. The successful candidate will manage the month-end and year-end financial processes across multiple group companies, strengthen internal controls, oversee fraud-prevention measures and provide accurate financial information to support senior management and board-level decisions.

Responsibilities

• Prepare monthly management accounts and consolidated financial reports.
• Manage month-end and year-end financial reporting processes.
• Monitor budgets, forecasts and financial performance.
• Oversee statutory accounts preparation under FRS 102.
• Lead external audits and liaise with auditors.
• Manage VAT returns, tax compliance and regulatory reporting.
• Strengthen financial controls and fraud-prevention procedures.
• Improve finance processes and identify automation opportunities.
• Report financial performance and control issues to senior management.

Requirements

• ACA, ACCA or CIMA qualified accountant.
• Minimum four years’ post-qualification experience.
• Experience preparing consolidated accounts under FRS 102.
• Experience managing accounts for a multi-entity group.
• Train Managers
• Strong knowledge of accounting standards and financial regulations.
• Excellent Excel, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong communication, leadership and stakeholder-management abilities.
• Internal controls or fraud-prevention experience is desirable.
