Infrastructure Engineer – Storage

Overview

In this role you will manage day-to-day storage operations and BAU tasks within a hybrid environment. You will work closely with Storage Admin Engineers, Delivery, and application owners to support the storage estate, incidents, and service-impacting tickets. The position includes hands-on NAS administration, scripting, and automation to improve operational efficiency. You will participate in daily operational meetings, BAU ticket management, and reporting to drive reliable storage services. This is a hands-on, cross-functional role with a clear impact on service availability and performance.

Responsibilities

• Handle day-to-day storage operations and BAU tickets (Incidents, Work Orders, Problems, BAU improvements) on a rotation basis
• Support daily operations meetings and service management around service-impacting tickets
• Administer NAS and work with Storage Admin Engineers, Delivery, infrastructure leaders, and application owners
• Participate in BAU ticket management, reporting, and SLA adherence
• Develop automation via PowerShell and scripts to improve estate management
• Contribute to migration activities and maintain storage infrastructure
• Assist with morning checks and reporting to Operations Morning Meetings
• Collaborate to maintain and optimize storage solutions (Isilon, Pure Storage, Dell EMC products)

Key requirements

• Experience with Isilon DSM Shell
• PowerShell, REST API tools, and scripting
• NAS migration experience
• Pure Storage administration
• Dell EMC VPLEX, Unity, VXRail experience
• Commvault and Cohesity maintenance/support
• Cisco MDS administration and configuration
• Surperna Eyeglass / Suparna bespoke software (on-site training available)
• Automation skills to improve efficiency
