Overview

As Head of DT&C for UK, Europe & MEA, you lead multiple teams to drive the strategic DT&C agenda within Citi Commercial Bank. You shape regional growth, align with global priorities, and manage P&L, risk, and governance across cross-border, technology, and communications domains. You engage senior stakeholders to originate multi-product solutions and enable scalable, client-centric finance and tech collaborations. This role offers high visibility, broad influence across markets, and ownership of a marquee industry vertical within Citi’s global platform.

Responsibilities

• Set and execute the DT&C growth agenda for UK, Europe, and MEA aligned with regional/global priorities
• Shape the regional DT&C scorecard and inform planning, headcount, and resource allocation
• Drive regional expansion by expanding client penetration in high-growth tech sectors and ecosystems
• Leverage Citi’s global network to connect regional tech clients with cross-border opportunities
• Lead Relationship Managers to anticipate client needs and design tailored financial solutions
• Sponsor and originate multi-product transactions across lending, cash management, FX, trade finance, and capital markets
• Own regional DT&C P&L, pricing discipline, and revenue growth; oversee credit portfolio standards
• Act as Senior Sponsoring Officer for complex cross-border credit relationships and facilities
• Maintain strict control environment with KYC/AML/compliance; collaborate with risk and CCOs
• Lead and develop senior teams; foster succession planning and inclusive, high-performance culture
• Partner with Markets, TTS, Trade, IB, and Wealth to deliver integrated solutions
• Represent DT&C in leadership forums and influence regional strategy
• Develop familiarity with AI investment ecosystem to engage founders and sponsors

Key requirements

• 15+ years in commercial or corporate banking with senior leadership experience
• Proven full P&L management, budgeting, and capital allocation experience
• At least 10 years of people management and talent development
• In-depth knowledge of Digital Tech, SaaS, Digital Media, and Telecom sectors across UK/Europe/MEA
• Expertise in corporate lending, cash management, FX, trade finance, and capital markets solutions
• SCO designation or SCO-track preferred
• Strong executive presence for internal/external negotiations with senior leaders and regulators
• Ability to navigate a global matrix organization and influence across regions and functions
• Bachelor’s degree required; MBA preferred
