Overview
In this role you will lead EL/PL disease claims within a specialist Bristol team, delivering strategic, commercially focused guidance to insurer and corporate clients. You will act as a trusted adviser on major matters and steer efficient, compliant case management. You will provide technical leadership through supervision and mentoring, and support business development to raise the team’s profile. The opportunity combines high-value disease litigation work with cross-office collaboration and thought leadership in a supportive, diverse environment.
Responsibilities
- Lead EL/PL disease claims and advise on legacy and emerging disease risks
- Provide strategic, commercially-focused advice to insurer and corporate clients
- Act as trusted adviser on significant matters with efficient, compliant case management
- Supervise/mentor/train junior lawyers and contribute to knowledge sharing
- Support business development, pitches, client training, seminars, and collaborative initiatives across offices
Key requirements
- Senior Associate or Legal Director level experience
- Strong technical credentials in disease litigation
- Proven client handling skills
- Ability to lead teams and contribute to strategic growth in Bristol
