About the role

A global project forwarder is growing its UK projects office and is hiring a Business Development Manager to drive commercial growth. You’ll win and develop project cargo business across the UK and Europe, with a strong focus on OEMs and BESS.

What you’ll do

• Win new project business from EPC/EPCM contractors, OEMs, fabricators, and renewables and BESS developers
• Build and develop relationships with procurement managers and logistics heads at tier-1 contractors and equipment vendors
• Engage with projects early, from pre-FEED stage through to award
• Grow the office’s presence in energy, infrastructure, industrial plant and grid infrastructure projects
• Work closely with the projects operations team to secure and deliver awarded business

What you’ll need

• 3–5 years in project freight forwarding or heavy-lift / specialised transport
• Direct commercial exposure to EPCs, OEMs (transformers, turbines, modular skids, heavy machinery) or renewables / BESS. Operations-to-sales backgrounds are welcome
• An active UK/European network across contractors and equipment vendors
• A solid understanding of project lifecycles and how project cargo is procured
• Ambition, energy and a drive to grow with the role
