Overview
In this role you will lead private client matters for high net worth clients, guiding tax and estate planning, trusts, and probate while managing a dedicated team. You will drive business development to support the firm’s growth in the Bath region and contribute to strategic succession planning for farmers and business owners. You’ll supervise junior lawyers and staff, ensuring exemplary client service and relationship-building. This is a partnership-oriented progression opportunity in a collaborative, inclusive culture.

Responsibilities
- Manage a varied caseload including tax and estate planning for high net worth clients
- Advise on succession planning for farmers and business owners
- Oversee complex probate and estate administration matters
- Supervise creation, restructuring and winding up of trusts
- Provide guidance on Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
- Mentor and develop junior staff
- Drive business development and contribute to growth strategy for the Bath region
Key requirements
- Qualified Solicitor or CILEX with higher rights and substantial private client experience
- Expertise in tax and estate planning for diverse clients
- Experience managing probate and estate administration matters
- Knowledge of trusts creation, restructuring and winding up
- Experience with Enduring and Lasting Powers of Attorney and Court of Protection matters
- Desirable: succession planning experience with farmers and business owners
- Leadership ability to supervise junior staff
- Strong business development and referral generation skills
- Exemplary client service and relationship-building skills
