Fire Engineer (Progression Pathway)

Overview

In this role you will lead a brand-new Fire Engineering function from Eltham, balancing office, site and hybrid work. You will manage end-to-end fire safety commissions, deliver Fire Risk Assessments, and advise clients on relevant legislation and HRBs. You’ll supervise and grow a small team over time, with a clear development pathway in a growth-focused, established consultancy. This is a client-facing position with ownership from day one and a strong impact on the firm’s fire safety service offering.

Responsibilities

• Lead the establishment of a new Fire Engineering function from the Eltham office
• Deliver and oversee fire safety commissions through to project completion
• Undertake or supervise Fire Risk Assessments and provide client-facing guidance
• Manage stakeholder relationships and communicate with clients and senior stakeholders
• Support team growth and leadership development as workload expands

Key requirements

• Strong real-world fire engineering / fire safety experience
• Proven ability to lead commissions/projects and manage stakeholders in a client-facing role
• Knowledge of fire legislation, HRBs, and experience leading Fire Risk Assessments
