Overview

In this permanent role, you will lead financial tenders from the initial cost plan through final negotiations for an award-winning main contractor. Based near Hornchurch, you will contribute to a variety of London and South East projects, emphasising quality and innovation. You’ll shape cost plans, manage tendering processes, and drive accurate cost data usage to win bids. This is a pivotal role for someone who adds value through rigorous cost control and cross‑department collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Prepare Detailed Cost Plans
• Collaborate on KPI benchmarking for cost plans
• Create Bills of Quantities (BoQs) and house/flat type schedules
• Coordinate specialist subcontract procurement packages
• Tender packaged work and manage cost plan preparations
• Build and maintain a library of cost data
• Assess new products/methods with cost comparisons
• Liaise with all departments to leverage data in cost plans

Key requirements

• Degree or professional body membership (ideally)
• Strong track record with a reputable main contractor
• Experience across multiple projects/sectors
• Ability to meet deadlines
• Team-oriented mindset
• Able to commute to Essex (near Hornchurch) daily
• Full UK driving license
