Senior Manager – Cost Transformation and Margin Improvement​

Overview

In this role you shape and deliver enterprise value creation for clients, operating at the intersection of strategy, data, and transformation. You’ll lead cost and margin improvement programmes and coordinate cross-functional teams to realise sustainable P&L gains. The role sits in Baringa’s London EVC practice, partnering with CFOs and senior leaders to design and implement value-creating roadmaps. You’ll influence client outcomes while developing the team and building long-term relationships.

Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end cost and margin improvement programmes from diagnostics to mobilising and delivering transformation
• Shape EVC strategy and roadmaps tailored to client needs with senior stakeholders
• Lead multi-disciplinary teams across the firm
• Ensure benefits are realised and sustained via robust tracking and capability building
• Coach and develop team members’ skills and careers
• Build long-term client relationships, contribute to proposals and business development
• Support the growth and reputation of the London EVC team, including recruitment and capability development

Key requirements

• Typically 7+ years of relevant experience
• University degree in Economics, Econometrics, Business, Finance, Accounting or related field; Master’s a plus
• Track record of leading programmes in gross margin improvement, SG&A or third-party cost reduction, and operational efficiency
• Experience across the client lifecycle from diagnostics to implementation and mobilisation
• Experience in business development and delivering work in at least one industry sector and/or with private equity
• Strong senior stakeholder relationship, communication and presentation skills
• Experience coaching teams and delivering training to colleagues and clients
• Ability to travel internationally up to 30% and within EU/UK
• Nice to have: ACCA, CIMA or CFA; private equity portfolio value creation; deals environment or operational due diligence
