Associate Director Project Manager

Overview

In this role you drive complex, high-value construction projects within a busy London firm of construction consultants. You will oversee pre-construction and construction phases, liaising with clients and leading junior PMs to deliver on major schemes such as a large film studio with mixed-use elements. You shape project strategy, manage senior stakeholders, and contribute to the firm’s growth and client service. This position offers strong promotion prospects and a package reflecting experience.

Responsibilities

• Lead the client relationship and overall delivery of high-value projects (~£100m)
• Oversee both pre-construction and construction phases
• Coordinate with senior and junior project managers to ensure timely, on-budget delivery
• Engage with clients at all levels and manage stakeholder expectations
• Contribute to business development and client service within a busy consultancy
• Mentor and manage less senior PMs as required

Key requirements

• Chartered status with RICS, CIOB or similar (or equivalent)
• Degree or MSc in Building Construction or related field
• Proven PM experience on high-value projects in the UK construction industry
• Experience working at Associate or Associate Director level in a construction consultancy
• Strong English communication skills (written and spoken)
• Stable work record with construction consultants and ability to manage clients and teams
