Overview
In this role you will lead the introduction and validation of bespoke automated machines within Abbott’s Witney Centre of Excellence. You’ll own cross‑functional validation strategy and drive projects from plan to production, ensuring machines meet production and inspection needs. You’ll develop and execute validation tests, becoming a technical voice across teams and suppliers. The role offers growth into senior engineering and opportunities to shape biosensor manufacturing capabilities and healthcare impact.

Responsibilities
- Create and manage project plans with timelines, risk assessments, and stakeholder communication
- Ensure changes are understood by the business and articulate the benefits of the project
- Deliver validated production and inspection machines
- Develop and execute new validation tests and perform process equipment validations
- Serve as a technical SME within cross-functional project teams and with suppliers
- Lead project management and occasionally visit supplier sites
- Maintain strong documentation discipline and collaborate with on-site teams
Key requirements
- HNC in Engineering (degree preferred)
- Proven experience in Project Engineering, preferably with Automated Machinery
- Technical project management capability
- Problem-solving passion
