Content Pipeline & Acquisition Executive

Overview

In this role you drive catalogue sales for Sony’s global unscripted slate, identifying marketable projects and coordinating acquisition activity. You’ll support the International Formats team and Opcos across multiple regions, tracking development pipelines and preparing sales and briefing materials. Working with senior formats leads and external agencies, you will monitor trends, coordinate market research, and keep stakeholders up to date on activity. This is a fast-paced, cross-border role that shapes Sony’s unscripted catalog growth and strategic partnerships.

Responsibilities

• Identify globally marketable projects and track development pipelines
• Coordinate internal acquisition reviews and update rights owners on sales and negotiations
• Create sales briefing documents and asset presentations for key markets
• Maintain up-to-date databases of development and production assets from Opcos
• Provide market research insights and competitor analyses for acquisitions and territory rollout
• Prepare format summaries and pitches for distribution and marketing use
• Lead client and acquisition pitches when required, including remote presentations
• Coordinate with Sony Research and external agencies for market updates and trend information
• Maintain regular communication with unscripted Opcos to share product information and slate priorities
• Support cross-regional teams with information on current, in-development, and catalog titles

Key requirements

• 3–5 years in TV production/distribution, including 12 months in unscripted acquisition/development
• Strong proficiency in PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Outlook
