Overview

In this role you will handle complex banking finance work in the Northern Ireland market within a leading Belfast law firm. You will report to the Head of Function and help grow the team while delivering client work. The position involves business development and mentoring junior colleagues, with a focus on precise drafting and timely delivery. This is an opportunity to influence practice growth and contribute to cross-border finance matters in a collaborative, proactive environment.

Responsibilities

• Deliver complex banking and finance transactions for clients in NI (and some international work)
• Report directly to the Head of Function
• Support business development and contribute to the growth of the team
• Mentor and support junior colleagues
• Produce high-quality drafting with strong attention to detail
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to meet deadlines

Key requirements

• NI qualified or E&W/ROI qualified with a view to practising in NI
• Strong technical drafting ability
• Positive, can-do approach under deadlines
• Experience in client delivery and deal support
• Interest in business development and contributing to team growth
