Clinical Governance and Effectiveness Manager

Overview

In this role you will lead NLFT’s Clinical Governance and Effectiveness agenda to drive high-quality, evidence-based care and regulatory compliance. You will oversee clinical audits and the implementation of NICE guidance, turning findings into improvements across services. You will partner with clinical and operational leaders to support organisational learning and performance. This is a mission-driven opportunity to shape quality, reduce inequality and advance patient outcomes in mental health care.

Responsibilities

• Provide leadership to the Clinical Governance and Effectiveness Team
• Oversee delivery of the annual clinical audit programme
• Support implementation of NICE guidance and national standards
• Develop governance intelligence and reporting for Trust committees and senior leaders

Key requirements

• Significant experience in Clinical Governance, Clinical Audit or Clinical Effectiveness
• Experience leading and delivering clinical audit and/or clinical effectiveness programmes
• Experience analysing complex quality or clinical data and producing reports for senior committees or leaders
• Experience leading change, improvement or quality initiatives that have delivered measurable outcomes
• Excellent stakeholder engagement and influencing skills across multidisciplinary services
• Knowledge of NICE guidance and national standards
• Leadership and people management experience
