CDM Advisor

Overview

As a Senior CDM Advisor, you will lead compliance and safer design across a North West portfolio from Preston, influencing project teams and clients. You’ll act as Principal Designer under CDM 2015, delivering expert guidance, risk management workshops and robust documentation. You’ll work with diverse clients and design teams to strengthen the CDM offering and drive safer construction practices. This is a growth-focused, client-facing role in a collaborative consultancy environment.

Responsibilities

• Act as Principal Designer under CDM Regulations 2015
• Provide specialist CDM and health & safety guidance to clients, design teams and contractors
• Manage and deliver CDM services across multiple projects
• Lead design risk management workshops and reviews
• Prepare and review Pre-Construction Information
• Support clients in discharging their duties under CDM Regulations
• Undertake site inspections and health & safety audits
• Review construction phase plans and related documentation
• Produce technical reports and client guidance
• Build and maintain strong client relationships
• Support business development opportunities where appropriate

Key requirements

• Extensive practical CDM experience as CDM Advisor, Consultant or Principal Designer
• Comprehensive knowledge of CDM Regulations 2015 and related legislation
• Experience working with clients, designers, and contractors across construction projects
• Strong understanding of design risk management
• Ability to challenge and influence project teams
• Strong report writing and communication skills
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
• Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel in the North West
