About the Firm

CRA Consulting is delighted to be working in partnership with a well-established law firm to recruit a Compliance & Quality Manager for its team in Long Eaton. This is an excellent opportunity for an organised and proactive professional with experience in compliance, quality assurance and process improvement to take responsibility for supporting the continued delivery of high-quality legal services. Working closely with the Head of Department, you will play a key role in ensuring the firm’s residential conveyancing teams operate efficiently, maintain high professional standards and meet all relevant regulatory requirements.

The Role

As Compliance & Quality Manager, your responsibilities will include:

  • Reviewing, developing and implementing processes, procedures and workflows to improve efficiency and ensure regulatory compliance.
  • Conducting file reviews, audits and compliance checks across the residential conveyancing teams.
  • Supporting compliance with anti-money laundering requirements and internal policies.
  • Coordinating training, appraisals and team meetings to promote best practice and continuous improvement.
  • Supporting colleagues as the firm transitions towards greater use of online systems and digital processes.
  • Liaising with external regulatory bodies and ensuring relevant accreditations are maintained.
  • Managing complaints and supporting the resolution of issues in a professional and timely manner.
  • Identifying opportunities to improve working practices and maintain consistently high standards of service.

Although primarily based in Nottingham, the role will involve visiting other offices across Nottinghamshire and Derbyshire, so access to suitable transport is essential. Some hybrid working may be available.

About You

The successful candidate will have:

  • Previous experience of managing or overseeing compliance within a regulated industry.
  • Experience of implementing and improving systems, processes and workflows.
  • Strong organisational and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritise competing demands and manage multiple workstreams.
  • Excellent administrative, IT and communication skills.
  • A high level of attention to detail and a methodical approach to work.
  • The ability to work collaboratively with colleagues at all levels and support the implementation of new procedures and systems.

Previous experience within residential conveyancing would be advantageous, although experience of compliance within another regulated environment will also be relevant.

What’s on Offer?

The firm offers a varied and interesting role within a supportive and friendly working environment, alongside a genuine commitment to employee wellbeing and work-life balance.

  • Competitive salary, dependent on experience.
  • Part-time working hours of 21 hours per week.
  • Potential for hybrid working.
  • Health Cashback plans.
  • Access to a 24/7 Advice and Information Line.
  • Free counselling and wellbeing support.
