They manufacture precision components for the aerospace and industrial gas turbine industries and offer excellent working conditions, long-term stability and opportunities for development.The Central Inspector will be responsible for carrying out dimensional and quality inspection across the manufacturing facility, ensuring components are produced to the required engineering specifications and customer standards.The Role
You will carry out a variety of inspection activities including:First-off inspection of machined componentsDimensional inspection to tight tolerancesConventional and CMM inspectionIn-process and sample inspectionsReceipt inspection of components returning from subcontractorsReading and interpreting engineering drawings and method specificationsVisual inspection of manufactured componentsIdentifying non-conformances and completing relevant documentationAirflow inspection where requiredEnsuring components meet strict customer and quality requirementsWhat We’re Looking For
Ideally, you will have:Previous experience within quality, CMM, dimensional or engineering inspectionExperience inspecting precision-engineered components to tight tolerancesGood understanding of engineering drawingsExperience using conventional inspection and measuring equipmentExperience using CMM machinesPrevious experience within a precision engineering or manufacturing environmentExcellent attention to detailBasic computer literacySAP experience would be advantageous but is not essentialAbility to work independently and as part of a manufacturing teamPay
£18.73 per hour starting rate, including 21% shift premiumIncreasing to £19.30 per hour following successful completion of trainingOvertime availableBonus schemeHours
