Combining acontemporary bistro, artisan café, and premium deli, 1922 will offer members,residents, and visitors an exceptional destination for breakfast, lunch,coffee, retail delicatessen products, and informal dining.
We are seeking an entrepreneurial andinspirational leader to shape, and establish 1922 as one of Chelsea’s mostadmired neighbourhood destinations.
The Role
The Manager of 1922 will be the face, drivingforce, and operational leader of this exciting new venture. Responsible fordelivering commercial success and exceptional guest experiences, the successfulcandidate will bring together hospitality excellence, entrepreneurial thinking,and hands‑on leadership to create a destination that reflects the values,heritage, and reputation of The Sloane Club.

KeyResponsibilities
Leadership & Culture
- Lead the ongoing development of the 1922 concept.
- Recruit, inspire, train, and retain an exceptional team.
- Create a culture of warmth, professionalism, accountability, andhospitality excellence.
- Act as a visible and engaging presence within the operation,leading from the front every day.
- Champion The Sloane Club’s values and standards throughout thebusiness.
Guest Experience
- Create a memorable and welcoming environment that attracts bothClub members and the local Chelsea community.
- Create genuine hospitality & service
- Build long-term relationships with regular guests, localbusinesses, and neighbourhood stakeholders.
Commercial Performance
- Develop initiatives that drive revenue across the bistro, café,takeaway, and deli retail offer.
- Identify opportunities for events, partnerships, seasonalactivations, and community engagement.
Operational Excellence
- Ensure seamless execution across all areas of the operation.
- Maintain exceptional standards of food quality, presentation,cleanliness, and service delivery.
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures that supportconsistency and efficiency.
- Ensure all opening and closing procedures are rigorouslymaintained.
Brand Development
- Act as a brand ambassador for 1922 across Chelsea and the widerhospitality community.
- Work closely with marketing teams to build awareness, footfall, andcustomer loyalty.
- Support the development of social media, local partnerships, andpromotional campaigns.
- Continuously seek innovative ways to strengthen the identity andreputation of 1922.
Experience & Qualifications
Essential
- Minimum 2 years proven success as a General Manager or seniorleader within a premium café, restaurant and bistro.
- Passion for food, coffee, artisan products, and guest experience.
- Ability to build and develop high-performing teams.

The successful General Manager will bemeasured on:
- Successful establishment of the 1922 concept.

- Growth of retail and deli sales.
