Tax Accountant | Hull (hybrid) | Up to £50k + 10% bonus

Most tax roles give you one slice of the pie, this one gives you the whole thing.

VAT, corporation tax, customs, transfer pricing, CIS, PSA, Plastic Packaging Tax, Pillar 2. If it’s tax, it’s yours.

The business is a PE-backed, multi-site trade business with branches across the UK. It has more than doubled in size in the last few years and is still growing fast. It’s a big business without the corporate feel. Decisions get made quickly and the finance team has a real voice.

What you’d be doing:

• Owning tax reporting and compliance across the group
• Being the go-to tax person for senior leaders across the branch network
• Supporting HMRC Large Business, SAO and the external audit
• Improving processes, including automation and AI

What they’re after:

• Tax experience in a large, complex business
• Strong Excel and ERP skills
• Qualified or studying (preferred, not essential)
• Someone who can explain tax to people who don’t work in finance
