Care Centre Director

Lakefield Neurological Centre, a neurological rehabilitation and complex care service run by Elysium Healthcare, seeks a Care Centre Director to lead its clinical and operational teams. The post carries overall responsibility for regulatory compliance, quality and financial targets, and commercial growth with referrers and stakeholders. The holder also acts as Registered Manager for CQC purposes and engages with Integrated Care Boards and local authorities. A DBS check is required.

What the job involves

• Lead and manage the full clinical and operational teams, ensuring excellent care delivery
• Lead the multidisciplinary team
• Ensure regulatory, quality and financial targets are met
• Be responsible for operational performance, budget control and revenue generation
• Lead the senior management team on site and develop the service’s local strategy, quality improvement and business plans
• Lead the development of quality healthcare services that respond to stakeholder needs, market trends and evidence-based practice
• Develop commercial opportunities with stakeholders and referrers
• Promote and enhance the centre’s reputation for specialist care
• Fulfil the role of Registered Manager in line with CQC expectations
• Engage with Integrated Care Boards and Local Authorities

Experience

• Excellent track record in a management role within the healthcare or social care sector
• Strong background in leading and developing high-performing teams

Skills & knowledge

• Understanding of neurological services and working knowledge of neurological provision
• Knowledge of clinical and non-clinical operational activities within a health or care organisation
• Emphasis on performance and delivery, including budget control, business development and revenue generation
• Credible, inclusive and supportive leadership style, balanced with underpinning knowledge to direct and implement change
