SAME CLINICAL EXPERTISE. BETTER HOURS. MORE BALANCE.

Love your clinical career but ready to leave the shifts behind? This could be the change you’ve been looking for!

We’re recruiting Clinical Assessors in Swindon, offering you the opportunity to use your clinical knowledge and professional expertise in a rewarding new role, with hybrid working, sociable hours and a better work-life balance.

Working on behalf of the DWP, you’ll assess how health conditions and disabilities affect people’s everyday lives, using your clinical reasoning and professional judgement to produce clear, evidence-based reports.

Keep your clinical career. Lose the shift pattern. Get your evenings and weekends back.

WHAT’S IN IT FOR YOU?

  • £40,000-£42,000 salary
  • Hybrid working — a mix of home and office
  • Full-time and part-time opportunities
  • Monday-Friday, 9am-5pm
  • No nights, weekends, bank holidays or on-call
  • 12 weeks of fully paid training
  • Structured salary progression
  • Performance and quality bonus opportunities
  • 25 days’ annual leave plus bank holidays
  • Option to purchase additional annual leave
  • Up to 6% employer pension contribution
  • Employee discounts and wellbeing support

A NEW WAY TO USE YOUR CLINICAL SKILLS

You’ll use your existing expertise to:

  • Conduct structured telephone, video and/or face-to-face assessments
  • Review medical evidence and clinical information
  • Explore how health conditions affect daily activities and functional ability
  • Apply clinical reasoning and professional judgement
  • Produce clear, objective and evidence-based reports

This is an assessment and report-writing role, not hands-on clinical care.

WHO ARE WE LOOKING FOR?

We welcome applications from Registered Nurses, Occupational Therapists, Physiotherapists, Paramedics and Pharmacists who are ready for a new challenge.

You’ll need:

  • Active NMC, HCPC or GPhC registration
  • At least one year of post-registration adult clinical experience
  • Strong communication and report-writing skills
  • Confidence analysing clinical information and making evidence-based decisions
  • Good IT skills and the ability to work independently
  • No previous Clinical Assessor experience? No problem. Fully paid training is provided.
