Our client is a leading building contractor in the UK, delivering high-quality construction projects across residential, commercial, and mixed-use developments. They are known for their commitment to excellence, safety, and strong community engagement.As a Resident Engagement Officer, you will be the main point of contact between residents, stakeholders, and the project team to support on-site activities. You will ensure residents are informed, concerns are addressed, and the project maintains positive community relations.What’s involved for the Resident Engagement Officer…Act as the primary contact for residents and local stakeholders throughout the project lifecycleCommunicate project progress, schedules, and potential disruptions effectivelyRespond promptly and professionally to resident inquiries and complaintsCoordinate and attend community meetings, briefings, and site visits as requiredMaintain accurate records of communications, issues, and actions takenLiaise closely with site management to resolve concerns and implement mitigation measuresProvide input to project teams on community engagement strategiesMonitor and report on resident satisfaction and community impactEnsure compliance with company policies, local regulations, and Health & Safety standards
What you’ll need…Previous experience in resident liaison, community engagement, or customer-facing roles (construction experience advantageous)Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skillsStrong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple stakeholder relationshipsProactive, solution-focused, and confident in handling challenging situationsKnowledge of construction processes, Health & Safety, or planning regulations is a plus
