Senior Software Engineer – Digital Workplace

About the role

Canonical is a leading provider of open source software and operating systems for the global enterprise. The role owns building internal systems with the same standards as Canonical’s public products, delivering responsible, observable, and well-documented software for a distributed team.

What you’ll do

• Design and deliver systems and platforms with intuitive UIs
• Build Go services and APIs connecting multiple data sources
• Design data models and architecture for connected systems
• Turn data into dashboards and visualisations
• Write LLM powered features into workflows
• Mentor engineers and contribute to team processes

What they’re looking for

• Deep expertise in at least two of: Go back end, modern front end, data engineering, data visualisation, applied LLM/ML
• Experience with testing, security, performance and accessibility as part of the role
• Ability to work in a distributed team and write clearly
• Nice to have: Python, Go, React, Svelte, PostgreSQL, Kubernetes
• Experience building tools for HR, finance or operations is a plus
