Senior IT Engineer (Support & Projects) – MSPColchester / Braintree Area | Office-Based | Driving Licence EssentialUp to £35,000 DoE + BenefitsA well-established and growing MSP in North Essex is looking for an experienced, customer-focused Senior IT Engineer to join their Support & Projects team. This is a varied, hands-on role split between 2nd/3rd line support and project delivery, with a pipeline of 15 Intune migrations already lined up and ready to go. It’s a great opportunity for someone who wants to own projects from scoping through to handover, not just assist on them.What You’ll Be Doing:Deliver 2nd/3rd line support to customers via phone, email and portal, with a strong focus on first-touch resolution.Own projects end to end, including Intune migrations, Microsoft 365 tenant migrations and customer onboarding.Carry out server migrations (server to server and server to cloud), infrastructure upgrades and firewall configuration.Deploy and manage Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Azure environments alongside traditional on-premise servers and networking.Share knowledge with the wider team and assist with escalated issues, while maintaining accurate time recording and documentation.What You’ll Bring:Proven experience in a senior support or engineering role within an MSP, supporting multiple customer environments.Experience independently delivering technical projects from requirements and planning through to testing and handover.Strong knowledge of Windows Server, Active Directory and Hyper-V, plus solid Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Intune and Azure experience.Good networking knowledge (firewalls, VPNs, VLANs), with image-based backup/DR and Autotask/Datto experience a bonus.A calm, customer-first approach with excellent communication skills.Full UK driving licence and own vehicle essential.Relevant certifications (Microsoft, CompTIA etc) are a plus.What’s on Offer:Salary up to £35,000 (depending on experience)22 days holiday + bank holidays + your birthday offA varied role combining support and project deliveryA busy pipeline of Intune and Microsoft 365 projectsA supportive, customer-centric team within a respected MSPInterested?
