We are looking for a caring, positive and compassionate Support Worker to support a lady to live independently in her home and enjoy the things that matter most to her. This is an opportunity to make a meaningful difference and help her achieve her goals.
About the role
You will provide patient, proactive and person-centred support with daily living, personal care and communication, balancing active days with calm, low-stimulation time according to her needs and preferences.
What your week could include
- Horse riding, swimming and other community activities
- Crafts, spending time with animals and reading stories together
- Having fun, being playful and not being afraid to act a little goofy
- Helping her build confidence and everyday skills
Who we are looking for
- Kind, patient and proactive, with a positive approach
- A confident communicator who knows Makaton or is willing to learn
- Comfortable providing personal care and working independently
- Flexible and willing to work a mixture of shifts, including sleep-ins
- An interest in animals, crafts and reading stories would be welcome
- A manual driving licence is preferred but not essential
