Commissioning Manager (Electrical)

Overview

In this role you will lead the electrical commissioning of critical systems for a major nuclear project at Hinkley Point C. You will guide commissioning teams, work with contractors and stakeholders, and ensure safe, efficient delivery to programme quality. You’ll develop strategies, procedures and test plans to achieve readiness and compliance. This is a hands-on leadership role that shapes the reliability and safety of essential electrical infrastructure while supporting EDF’s low-carbon and national energy ambitions. You’ll operate in a high-stakes, collaborative environment with a clear impact on project milestones and overall mission.

Responsibilities

• Lead commissioning teams for electrical systems and equipment
• Ensure safe, efficient delivery in line with programme requirements
• Develop and implement commissioning strategies, procedures and test programmes
• Collaborate with contractors, designers and project stakeholders to achieve readiness
• Support technical reviews, governance and key project milestones
• Drive continuous improvement and share best practices across commissioning activities

Key requirements

• Extensive electrical commissioning experience in major infrastructure, power generation, industrial or complex engineering projects
• Electrical engineering bias with proven commissioning leadership
• Experience managing and developing commissioning teams
• Knowledge of LV, HV or diesel generator systems
• Track record of delivering commissioning programmes safely and successfully
• Nuclear industry experience advantageous
