Contracts Manager – Ground Engineering

Overview

As Contracts Manager, you will lead the safe and profitable delivery of piling and foundation projects across the South West. You will oversee the full project lifecycle, working with site teams, engineers, clients and subcontractors to ensure on-time delivery within budget and to high quality standards. The role combines operational leadership with commercial and client management to drive performance and growth. You will shape risk mitigation, continuous improvement and strong customer relationships to maximise project value.

Responsibilities

• Manage multiple piling and foundation projects simultaneously
• Ensure delivery safety and compliance with procedures
• Lead and support engineers, supervisors and operational teams
• Monitor programme, budget, productivity and quality
• Develop and maintain relationships with clients, consultants and stakeholders
• Identify and manage project risks and implement mitigations
• Collaborate with commercial teams to maximise profitability and handle variations
• Support tender handovers and pre-start planning
• Conduct site visits, progress meetings and project reviews
• Drive continuous improvement in safety, quality and operational performance
