About the Role

We are currently recruiting for an Assembly Operative to join a small, friendly shop floor team in a varied, hands-on role. This is an ideal opportunity for someone with some previous assembly experience who enjoys practical work and variety throughout the day. We are looking for a multi-skilled individual with a basic understanding of assembly, rather than someone who is only used to working on a repetitive production line.

Key Responsibilities

• Assembling products using hand tools and equipment, including spanners.
• Picking and packing customer orders accurately.
• Labelling products ready for dispatch.
• Preparing goods for dispatch and ensuring orders are ready on time.
• Supporting general warehouse and shop floor duties as required.
• Carrying out occasional heavy lifting.
• Working as part of a small team to maintain an organised and efficient working environment.

About You

• Some previous assembly or hands-on practical experience.
• Basic knowledge of using hand tools, such as spanners.
• A flexible, can-do attitude and the ability to carry out a variety of tasks.
• Good attention to detail and the ability to work accurately.
• A willingness to learn new skills and develop within the role.
• The ability to work independently and as part of a small team.
• A full UK driving licence and access to transport would be advantageous due to the company’s location.
• An FLT licence would be beneficial but is not essential.

Working Hours

• Monday to Thursday: 8:30am – 5:00pm
• Friday: 8:30am – 2:00pm
• 37.5 hours per week
