Backend Software Engineer – TypeScript

Overview

In this Backend Software Engineer role, you will build and modernise backend services and APIs using TypeScript and Node.js within a technology-led logistics business. You’ll connect the platform to international delivery networks, tackle distributed systems challenges, and migrate services to Google Cloud. You’ll work on AI-assisted development to accelerate delivery while maintaining reliability and scalability. You will own features from development through deployment and production support, contributing to expansion into new markets.

Responsibilities

• Develop backend services and APIs with TypeScript/Node.js
• Build robust integrations with third-party systems
• Address distributed systems challenges (retries, failures, data consistency)
• Modernise applications and migrate services to Google Cloud
• Leverage AI-assisted development to speed delivery
• Own features from development to deployment and production support

Key requirements
