Overview
In this role you help shape the UK’s major infrastructure projects within the Bridges & Structures practice. You will lead complex engineering solutions, guide engineers and delivery teams, and influence project direction across highways, rail, energy and urban programmes. You’ll champion digital delivery, automation and innovative design to improve asset performance, resilience and sustainability. The role combines technical excellence with leadership in a collaborative, flexible environment that values impact and client relationships.

Responsibilities
- Lead complex engineering solutions and deliverables across multidisciplinary projects
- Guide engineers and delivery teams, influencing project direction
- Embed digital tools, automation and data-led approaches in design and delivery
- Collaborate with clients, stakeholders and cross-functional teams
- Drive adoption of new technologies to improve project outcomes
- Contribute to shaping future delivery of structural engineering and asset performance
- Develop people and build trusted client relationships
- Operate within Jacobs’ culture of safety, integrity and inclusion
Key requirements
- Degree-qualified in Civil Engineering or Structural Engineering
- CEng status or working towards chartership with clear pathway to attainment
- Experience delivering structural engineering projects within infrastructure sectors
- Strong technical engineering and problem-solving capability
- Experience leading projects, technical packages or engineering teams
- Ability to collaborate effectively with clients, stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams
