As an Associate Director in AECOM’s Aviation Infrastructure team, you will lead the development and delivery of multi-disciplinary airport projects and align objectives with the firm’s strategic goals. You’ll drive technical excellence, oversee design and construction support, and cultivate strong client relationships to grow our aviation portfolio. The role spans masterplanning through handover, across commercial hubs, greenfield airports, and military installations. Responsibilities
- Lead the development and delivery of multi-disciplinary airport projects
- Ensure high-quality technical delivery and design excellence
- Build and maintain relationships with key clients and provide strategic advice
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities in the Aviation Infrastructure sector; lead bids and proposals
- Recruit, mentor and develop airport planners, civil engineers, and aeronautical ground lighting designers; foster collaboration and inclusion
Key requirements
- Degree in Civil Engineering
- Professional qualification: Institution of Civil Engineers (or equivalent)
- Significant experience in design, planning and construction support within the airport environment
- Knowledge of Civil and Military Aviation standards and practices (ICAO, EASA, CAA, FAA, MAA)
- Exceptional communication skills to influence stakeholders and grow our pipeline
- Solution-oriented mindset; confident to challenge status quo and propose innovations
