I’m working with a Financial Services organisation that is about to embark on its largest technology transformation to date.
Role Overview
The client is embarking on a major transformation programme to replace and consolidate its existing business-critical software platforms.
This is a genuine end-to-end ownership role, with the opportunity to lead the programme from initial discovery and requirements gathering through to final implementation.
You’ll take ownership of the requirements phase, map current and future-state business processes, shape the implementation and migration strategy, manage third-party software vendors, and coordinate technical teams across integrations, data migration, testing and cutover. You’ll ultimately lead the transition into business-as-usual operations and the decommissioning of legacy systems.
This will be a particularly good fit for someone who enjoys hands-on software implementation and business transformation, rather than simply overseeing delivery through layers of governance.
They’re specifically looking for someone with:
- Proven experience leading complex, end-to-end software implementations, from initial discovery through to go-live.
- Strong Senior Project Management, with the ability to lead requirements gathering, stakeholder workshops and detailed process mapping personally.
- Experience managing third-party software vendors and coordinating internal business and technical teams.
- A strong understanding of systems migration, integrations, testing, cutover and business change.
- The ability to translate business requirements into practical implementation plans, manage delivery risks and drive decisions throughout the project lifecycle.
- A hands-on approach, with the ability to operate at both a strategic and detailed delivery level.
