Applications delivery Project Manager – Coventry & Warwick

6 Months+, Inside IR35 PAYE.

Project Manager candidates within Utilities and SAP required for the role, which requires managing the vendor and delivering a traffic management process to tight deadlines.

Deliverables

1. Location & Travel: The role requires travel to Warwick & Coventry (once every couple of weeks, potentially weekly) to work with the vendor and also with internal team members.
2. Vendor Management: The project manager will work closely with and manage the third-party vendor who is developing the software, the project manager is requiring strong vendor management and an understanding of agile (vendor side) & waterfall (client side) methodologies.
3. Project Scope: The project, part of “Project Ignite”, aims to modernize technology for Client’s suppliers/contractors, consolidating various systems into a single platform to drive simplification, standardization, and improve regulatory reporting.
4. Urgent Timeline: The project has tight deadlines, with an MVP (linked to traffic management) required by the end of January, and failure to meet this will prevent onboarding contractors onto new legal contracts.
5. Required: The ideal Project Manager should have utilities (reinstatement, backfill, street works), working in regulatory organizations, and delivering new applications.
6. Team & Budget Management: The project manager will lead a matrix team including offshore resources, manage consolidated project plans, and oversee a budget of approximately £1million (part of Project Ignite’s £3.8million overall budget).
